The Mayor
The Town Mayor of East Grinstead for the current Civic Year is Councillor John Belsey. He is supported by Deputy Town Mayor, Councillor Stephanie Reeves.
Councillor Belsey has chosen two local organisations as his mayoral charities for the year:
| Age UK East Grinstead & District | As a volunteer trustee of Age UK East Grinstead & District, Cllr Belsey has witnessed the profound impact of the charity’s dementia respite service on individuals and families in the community. Funds raised during his term will help sustain and expand this vital service. |

| East Grinstead District Scouts | In addition, he is supporting the East Grinstead District Scouts, with a focus on their Young Leaders Scheme. This initiative empowers 14–18-year-old Explorer Scouts who take on leadership roles across the town’s nine Scout groups, helping to inspire and guide the next generation. |
Through his mayoral term, Cllr Belsey aims to highlight and support the invaluable contributions these organisations make to East Grinstead.
