Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights

The Town Council puts on a festive display of Christmas lights in the town every year, with a change of illuminations every five years and in 2013, the Council made the switch to LED lights, reducing the carbon footprint of the celebratory lights. In 2023, East Grinstead Town Council unveiled the new festive lights display, as part of a five year contract. The new lighting scheme is twice as energy efficient than the previous LED lighting, while delivering much brighter and more impressive lights.

Since 2018 the East Grinstead Town Council’s Christmas Lights ‘Switch On’ has been in conjunction with the High Street Trader’s ‘Big Reveal’.

For details of the Christmas Lights ‘Switch On’ this year please see our What’s On page.
