Street Name Plates

Street name plates are important so that we can find where we are and where we want to go quickly and effectively as well as helping emergency services to locate you and your street as quickly as possible.

East Grinstead Town Council in partnership with Mid Sussex District Council is responsible for repair and maintenance of street name plates when this becomes necessary. This may be due to accidental damage, vandalism or normal wear and tear.

The partnership agreement also extends to neighbouring villages: Ashurst Wood, Copthorne, Crawley Down, Danehill, Felbridge, Furnace Wood, Kingscote,  Rowfant, Turners Hill & West Hoathly

On new developments the developer is responsible for putting up street name plates that meets the District’s requirements.
