YEAR 6 children from Halsford Park and Baldwins Hill primaries have been working hard on a project to learn more about the legacy of Sir Archibald McIndoe

They have made an exhibition of their work and produced a DVD and booklet called The Town That Didn’t Stare which will be available from the Town Council tourism desk in the library.

Deputy Town Mayor Dick Sweatman presented certificates of participation to the youngsters at a packed Halsford Park school hall and Deputy Head Ian Rogers, one of the teachers leading the project, introduced it and the DVD, to great acclaim by the assembled parents and invited guests.
