CORONATION OF KING CHARLES III
East Grinstead Community Walking Parade and family fun day – Saturday 6th May
The walking parade will leave East Court at 9am, walk up College Lane, along the High Street, down London Road and the on to the footbridge into King George’s field. So, why not dust off those crowns, capes and coronets and come and join us to give them a wave and a cheer.
At King George’s field there will be a large screen so everyone can watch the Coronation ceremony together. The ceremony will start at 11am. Bring a picnic or buy from one of the food vendors.
There will be face painting and other free entertainment for the children including bouncy castle, mini golf, garden games and kids colouring sponsored by Step by Step School.
After the ceremony there will be a fancy dress competition for crowd and parade participants and a ‘right royal dog show’.
