BAKER Frederick Arthur, Sergeant, 17th Sussex (East Grinstead) Bn, Home Guard – Grave Sec. 4 No. 3 Died 05/10/1941 near Handcross, Sussex from accidental death owing to discharge of military explosive.  Aged 45. Son of George and Elizabeth Baker, of East Grinstead, husband of Victoria Baker of Tonbridge, Kent.

CARTER Norman William John, Aircraftman 1st Class 1449164, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve – Grave Sec. 4 No. 9 Died 24/09/1945 at Atkinson Morley Hospital, Wimbledon, S.W.20 from Illness. Aged 24. Son of Charles William and Esther Mary Carter of East Grinstead.

CREEDY Wilfred Columb Augustine, Corporal 6845406 2nd Bn. Kings Royal Rifle Corps – Grave Sec. 3C No. 215. Died 29/03/1940 Sturminster, Newton, Dorset, accidentally shot. Aged 27. Son of Joseph Richard Ambrose Creedy and Gertrude Creedy; husband of Dorothy Mabel Creedy of East Grinstead.

CROSS Herbert Francis, Leading Aircraftman 1861995, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve – Grave 3C No. 367. Died 08/11/1942 Great Yarmouth of an accident. Aged 48. Son of Herbert Henry and Marion Cross; husband of Ethel May Cross of East Grinstead.

FOSSLEITNER Louis Victor, Sergeant 912925, Navigator, 149 Sqdn, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve – Grave Sec. 4 No. 6. Died 10/11/1942 Mildenhall from an aeroplane crash. Aged 24. Son of Alois and Edith Daisy Fossleitner of East Grinstead.

HEASMAN Frederick James, Lieutenant 102311, Royal Artillery –Grave 1C No.33 Died 04/06/1940 from Spinal Meningitis, Stoke Military Hospital, Devonport. Aged 48. (Residence Southwick Cottages, East Grinstead). Son of Henry and Eliza Dinah Heasman, of East Grinstead (Henry Heasman is buried in Grave 1C No. 32)

HUGGETT James George, Gunner 301954, 10th Bde Canadian Field Artillery. – Grave Sec. 1C No.65. Died 10/02/1919 Aged 30. Son of William and Eleanor Huggett, 1904 Leighton Road, Victoria, British Columbia Canada. Served in France with 10th Bde. Canadian Field Artillery. Born at Redhill, Surrey.
