TOWN Mayor Nick Hodges packed out the Roochi Indian Restaurant in Forest Row on Monday night to raise money for his twin charities, CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and the town museum in Cantelupe Road.

Roochi’s generously reduced the cost of their set menu to support the event and donated half the £15 cost to the charities Nick has chosen so support during his mayoral year.

“I would like to thank Roochi for enabling us to hold a very successful fundraising event, and everyone for attending,” said Nick afterwards. “These charities are two very worthy causes and will benefit greatly from the funds raised tonight. It was a great way to spend a Monday evening.”

Nick’s next charity event is the Mayor’s Ball on 18 April. The price is £40 per head and includes a welcome drink, a three course meal and live entertainment, plus disco until late.
