A fundraising dance for a statue to be erected in the High Street in memory of pioneering plastic surgeon Sir Archibald McIndoe raised almost £4,000 last month.
But there will be further opportunities to contribute to this very worthy cause in the next few weeks:
- Penny Farthing Jewellers will be running a special promotion throughout November – take a look and you could win a diamond and white gold pendant and chain.
- The Swan in Forest Row is running a fundraising dinner, £15 a head, for the statue appeal on Tuesday, 12 November. To book call Caroline at The Swan on 01342 822318.
- On 22 February the Bluebell Railway will be running a special Golden Arrow Pullman dining steam train to raise funds. Tickets are limited and open, via the Bluebell website, to the general public. For more details, or to book, contact Julia Pique on 01825 720800 or julia.pique@bluebell-railway.co.uk.
