Donkey Derby

East Grinstead Lions will stage their annual donkey derby on Sunday 17th July between 12:00 and 5pm.  The event will take place on King George's Field, next to the Kings Leisure Centre.  There will be 7 hotly contested donkey races starting at 1pm, a fun dog show, live entertainment, childrens donkey rides, fairground rides and childrens entertainer.  Hot food and snacks will also be available.

This year the Lions have nominated East Park Riding for the Disabled, based in Newchapel, as their headline charity.  Up to 75 children each week are given the chance to ride a pony, and benefit by reaching therapeutic goals, improving muscle tone and posture, and developing fine and gross motor movement.  A very worthwhile cause so please come along and support it.
