Boyhood is a true ‘coming of age’ film that has been declared as a landmark film due to the unusual way it was filmed. Written and directed by Richard Linklater, the film was shot intermittently over the course of a 12 year period from 2002 to 2014, depicting the adolescence of Mason Evans from ages 6 to 18 as he grows up in Texas with divorced parents.
