Graffiti Removal

Graffiti is a criminal and anti-social activity. The Town Council is committed to removing it from all areas of the Town in a quick and efficient manner. In partnership with West Sussex County Council the Town Council’s outdoor services section operates an experienced fully trained and equipped graffiti removal service. The team use a proven system suitable for removal from all surfaces without damage to the surface or the environment. The system has been successfully used on listed buildings and a wide variety of surfaces including sand stone without damaging the surface or patina.

Graffiti removal

As part of the partnership the team removes graffiti from all the northern Parishes of Mid Sussex:- Ardingly, Ashurst Wood, Balcombe, Horsted Keynes, Slaugham, Turners Hill, West Hoathly and Worth. The Town Councils team efficiently cleared over 1000 square metres of graffiti in 2007-2008 across East Grinstead and the northern area of Mid Sussex. The service is free in respect of domestic property in the Town but a charge may be made for removal from commercial premises.

The team operate a rapid response for the removal of racist or obscene graffiti and this is normally removed on the day it is reported. Most other incidents are removed within a target time of 72 hours of reporting. The Town Council undertakes work for other local authorities outside West Sussex on a commercial basis and is always pleased to provide free advice and competitive quotes for removal.
