www.mynaturewatch.net

The My Naturewatch team is running 4 exclusive workshops that will give Wakehurst Visitors the chance to make their very own My Naturewatch Cameras to take home!

This homemade camera has been developed to help you capture wildlife in your garden. Based on the famous Raspberry Pi £10 computer, it takes only about an hour or so to make and is very ‘tech light’ (no soldering!).

The workshops are completely free and we’ll also give you free entry to the gardens for the day.

We welcome anyone over the age of 9 to take part. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your family or a friend – 1 ticket will give entry for up to 3 people. 1 Camera Kit per ticket / group.

Choose from the 12:00 – 14:00 or 15:00 – 17:00 workshop, on either the 2nd or 3rd of August.

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

To book, please email WakehurstProgrammes@kew.org with your adult’s name, contact number and email address for correspondence.

Participants Please bring along:

  • A smartphone
  • A 1.5 ltr – 2 ltr empty soft drinks bottle uncrushed (not essential, but it’s good to recycle)
  • An adult, if you’re under 16

Please note that this event is part of a research project, it will be documented under ethical consent that will be explained at the start of the session.
