Friday Night is Mayor’s Night
Friday Night is Mayor’s Night! A chance to come and listen to some superb vocal performances from Vegas Nights, Rising Stars Adult Theatre Company, Sarah Benton Vocals, East Grinstead Ukulele Club and even the Mayor himself, all accompanied by the musicians of the Concord Big Band. Something of a departure for Concord, they will be playing a much more modern set with songs such as Smooth Operator, Eye of The Tiger, Mr Bojangles, Heatwave and many more. Importantly, it will also be a chance to raise money for the Mayor’s two charities – The Town Museum, and CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
The Town Museum is an asset to the town which needs funds to keep going to provide generations to come the history of our great town.
Every Week in the UK 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die from cardiac conditions. Cardiac Risk in the Young are a charity who want to stop this by raising awareness and promoting cardiac screening.
