The Story of Momma Cherri

Come and meet Momma Cherri aka Charita Jones. She will take you on her  personal Soul Food journey.

Charita knows how it feels to come from nowhere, reach the top and tumble back down with a smile still on her face. Her restaurant Momma Cherri's Soul Food Shack was made famous on Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares in 2005. Hear her story, find out what working with Gordon was like and the impact he had on the business. In 2009 the Soul Food Shack closed so Charita decided to move in a new direction by re-applying to become a foster carer. She and her husband are now fostering their 34th child.
