Youth Club
East Grinstead Town Council recognised the gap in a youth provision in town and have funded a brand-new Youth Club!
We meet every Thursday, even in school holidays, at Sunnyside Barn Dunnings Road. We are open from 6:30pm-8:30pm, for 10 – 13-year-olds. This is a free Youth Club with a pay for tuck shop for the young people to enjoy.
Our aim is to provide a safe space for young people, offering peer support, opportunities for development, friendship, and alternative activities away from the education environment. We offer games, craft activities & much more!
The youth club is currently FULL. To put your child on the waitlist or for more information please email Ellie, our Youth Co-ordinator at youthclub@eastgrinstead.gov.uk
Youth club so far
Since staring Sunnyside Youth Club in September 2024, we have had a big intake of young people. Due to this we have separated the group into two, and both groups meet twice a month. As a result, we are now full for both groups.
Some of the fun things we have done is a Graffiti workshop with Jay’s Paint Shop, Rock Climbing at Blackland Farm, First Aid with Sussex Search & Rescue to name a few. We had use of a smoothie bike and all the young people loved using this!
Coming up we are having a quiz night for the young people and the Town Mayor will be the quiz master!
At the end of April, we will be attending a Judo workshop courtesy of Keisen Judo Club.
We also do lots of inhouse crafts as well as our usual activities of Wii Fit, pool table, ping pong table, football table, games & team building activities.
